The problem with the traces is that as soon as I start up the debugger, the flickering stops and so there is not all that much to debug. Also, while it happens from within fluxbox, dwm and even plain X, KDE is not affected at all. I found this thread fron an Arch-Linux-Forum where several people report the same problem (including a screenshot), but do not have a solution either: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=31355
Any ideas what to do now?
