Package: jabber
Version: 1.4.3-3.3
Severity: important

Hello,

I just upgraded my server to etch last night, and since then I have not
been able to make it work correctly :

when I login with a user which has no "external" user in it's roster,
everything is fine. I can login, logout, relogin,...

As soon as I login with my default account, the server tries to contact
other servers to get my contacts' status, and from then on no communication
will occur between my server and anything else. But it doesn't crash, if I
run it with -D, I can see it's still working fine, except it doesn't respond
to network trafic. No way to login another user, it still thinks my user is
logged in (usercount 1 total users).

The debug log shows "bouncing a packet to [EMAIL PROTECTED] from
[EMAIL PROTECTED]/Home: Server Connect Failed" for each and every contact I
have in my roster. I have also seen timeouts in the logs, but I can't
reproduce these.

I downgraded to 1.4.3-3 which works fine with the exact same config.

Don't hesitate to ask for information, this server can sustain occasionnal
downtimes for tests, and a simple downgrade makes it work, so...

Thanks for your work,
