Package: nvidia-kernel-source
Version: 1.0.8776
Severity: normal

Dear all!

I am trying to get my nvidia board to run. With current unstable and
experimental versions (8776 and 9746) X always crashes, leaving behind
nothing but a
        Backtrace:
at the end of the Xorg.log.

I tried also the upstream installer for 9755 and this one succeeded in
building a kernel module, loading it and starting, but unfortunately
only the first time. After a reboot starting X didn't succeed (I assume
that some of the /etc/init.d/nvidia-* scripts change something to the
worse for the upstream installer).

Furthermore, I tried to build a new debian package from the source
package, but didn't succeed with this.

ADLESTROP (n.)
That part of a suitcase which is designed to get snarled up on
conveyor belts at airports. Some of the more modern adlestrop designs
have a special 'quick release' feature which enables the case to flip
open at this point and fling your underclothes into the conveyor
belt's gearing mechanism.
