There's a new upstream version, 1.1rc8. There's an important, at least for me, bugfix between 1.1rc4 y 1.1rc8 and that is that the old one doesn't calculate the length of a packet that is triggering authentication, making it virtually impossible to do testing against a server that requires authentication (for my case, 100% of the test).
