Package: freej Version: 0.8.1-4 Severity: normal
When adding a text layer, freej comes back with the following message: no truetype fonts found on your system, dirs searched: /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType /usr/share/truetype you should install .ttf fonts in one of the directories above. can't initialize text layer requested free on a NULL pointer layer creation aborted It seems that it looks everywhere but the directory /usr/share/fonts/truetype where TrueType fonts are normally installed. Trying a quick workaround sudo ln -s /usr/share/fonts /usr/share/truetype causes freej to segfault after creating a new text layer and entering some text. (maybe freej doesn't know how to handle subdirectories?) Changing the link to point to one of the subdirectories in .../fonts/truetype allows it to create the layer successfully, but some fonts (e.g. msttcorefonts) show characters as rectangles. freefont works fine. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=nl_NL.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=nl_NL.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages freej depends on: ii libasound2 1.0.13-2 ALSA library ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libfreetype6 2.2.1-5 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgcc1 1:4.1.1-21 GCC support library ii libjpeg62 6b-13 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libogg0 1.1.3-2 Ogg Bitstream Library ii libpng12-0 1.2.15~beta5-1 PNG library - runtime ii libsdl1.2debian 1.2.11-8 Simple DirectMedia Layer ii libslang2 2.0.6-4 The S-Lang programming library - r ii libstdc++6 4.1.1-21 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libvorbis0a 1.1.2.dfsg-1.2 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libvorbisenc2 1.1.2.dfsg-1.2 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-13 compression library - runtime freej recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
