Well done, you've found the problem. There was a 4.0 libxfce4util-1 package installed. I upgraded this and I am writing this from a working xfce 4.2 session. :-) So now I guess you need to make something in xfce 4.2 depend on the new version of the library. > Also do you only have unstable and experimental in your sources.list or > have you ever used the os-works/os-cillation packages?
