We have done intensive testing during the past few weeks for the Etch release and not seen this problem ourselves. Have you checked the integrity of the CD-ROM using the relevant option in the main menu of the installer? Are there any messages in /var/log/syslog that could help indicate where the real cause of this failure is? Cheers, FJP
