Actually, in some translations (Spanish and Italian at least) we include that information in the SGML header by adding an additional <author> entry labeling it Translators: For PO files, I *think* for the time being, you could use the following hack. When translating this msgid: msgid "<name></name><email>debian-doc@lists.debian.org</email>" change it to: msgid "<name></name><email>debian-doc@lists.debian.org</email></author> <author><name>You (translation to XXX)</name><email>your_email_address</email>" That would add it to the SGML file in a way which would compile, but I'm not sure if it would confuse po4a [1] Regards Javier [1] Certainly if you try to do a SGML->PO conversion from the generated, translated, file, as you break idempotency (sp?)
