I'm inclined to tag this wontfix, /etc/surfraw.bookmarks is meant as
place where a sysadmin can set some system wide bookmarks for stuff
like an internal Wiki.
The current one is more or less an example. So please add currency
locally or try elinks, which has close-to-perfect bookmark management. :-)
