When sending an UTF-8 encoded mail subject or sender name, Sympa correctly MIME decodes it but lose the associated charset information. Then when the message is sent to the list or archived, this subject or sender name field is wrongly MIME encoded, using the list default charset (deduced from the list language) instead of the original charset.
