It seems to behave more or less like in the past (format slightly changed) so yes, it seems a good solution. OTOH, it seems other params are also needed to keep the old behaviour about log reports, so probably worth documenting too that they should be added, not just -W, if you want old style; or even put as commented out line in shipped config file.
