Hello, Apt-proxy stores its data in /var/cache/apt-proxy with owner aptproxy and group nogroup with permissions 700 (not sure why there is restricted read access). It then tries to read the Release and Release.gpg files (and probably all others) in /var/lib/apt which are owned by root, with no other access allowed, instead of /var/cache/apt-proxy where it does have access permissions. It is therefore unable to provide these files. Not even aptitude running on the box that is also running apt-proxy is able to obtain these files from apt-proxy.
