Hello, this bug still resists in current version of nscd (2.3.6.ds1-13). We are using libnss-ldap (251-7.4) with about 10000 users in our Directory (openLDAP). Unfortunately, we cannot figure out, why nscd aborts with following message
18864: Reloading "102" in password cache! 18864: Reloading "33" in password cache! 18864: Reloading "<username>" in password cache! nscd: cache.c:144: cache_add: Assertion `newp->key + newp->len <= table->head->first_free' failed. After the first occurence of this fault, a restart of nscd does not really solve the problem, because nscd aborts with same error message again after a few minutes. The only workarround is to delete the cache DBs in /var/db/nscd/* before starting nscd again. However, one can only hope that the process will work the next 24 hours. Any hints? Kind regards Andreas system: debian etch 2.6.17.13-vs2.0.2xeon x86_64 GNU/Linux -- Dr. Andreas Gabriel, Hochschulrechenzentrum Hans-Meerwein-Str. 6, 35032 Marburg, TEL/FAX +49 +6421 28-23560/26994 ----------------- Philipps-Universitaet Marburg --------------------- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
