/usr/lib/mime/packages/gnumeric includes this: "application/vnd.ms-excel; gnumeric '%s'; edit=gnumeric '%s'; description="MS Excel spreadsheet"; test=test -n "$DISPLAY"; nametemplate=%s.xls" Burt every plug-in listed in Gnumeric's Tools -> Plug-ins... is off by default
