Package: libsane Version: 1.0.18-5 Severity: important I tested the Scanner Medion MD9890 (Mustek 1200CP compatible). The user is in the group "lp" to access the parallel port with read- and write rights. The scanner is enabled in the configuration file /etc/sane.d/mustek_pp.conf with the line: scanner MD9890 parport0 cis1200 The mustek_pp backend is enabled in the configuration file /etc/sane.d/dll.conf with the line: mustek_pp All other backends are commented out with #.
The program XSane crashes during detection of devices. Some additional information: - parport0 has the access rights: read/write of owner and group (660 octal) - XSane crashes too, if 0x378 is used instead of parport0 in /etc/sane.d/mustek_pp.conf - XSane crashes too, if root is used instead of normal user - XSane crashes only, if device is connected to the computer Sorry, i don't know if this backend works in earlier versions. This was my first try. If you need more information, let me know. I am using Debian GNU/Linux 4.0, kernel 2.6.18-4-686 and libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
