The ideal solution would've been renaming the tiles with another
decoration number. That meant a very big patch.
While replacing with pure air (0) or pure water has been used by
upstream (I guess) in some places, this means a noticeable graphical
deterioration and a thorough manual search for problematic tiles, and we
could still miss something.
The performance penalty by evaluating a flag, as upstream does when
determining ice levels, is negligible and it's a safer choice.
