The big problem here is that it starts up on such machines and then claims that they're not connected to the network. This renders the interfaces Network Manager exports describing the current configuration unusable if it is used in conjunction with another configuration method it does not understand. -- "You grabbed my hand and we fell into it, like a daydream - or a fever."
