Everything worked flawlessly. I tested an account transition using a backup of my primary account. On a freshly installed etch I unpacked my account home directory in place of the install generated one. After I installed a small number of additional packages that I use daily I was up and running without any complications. This is by far the smoothest user transition I have ever experienced.
