Package: network-manager
Version: 0.6.4-6

On shutdown, when receiving the inevitable signal 15, network-manager
shuts down all network interfaces (that is, it drops all routes and ip
addresses). After that, the system hangs on trying to unmount nfs
devices because the server is unreachable.

network-manager is pulled in automatically when installing gnome,
leaving the poor system administrator with a slight headache and no
clue as to what might be the cause of his new problem.

Here's what some of the last few lines of syslog say:
---
