Hello. I've investigated this bug and found that it's not about cdpath at all. By removing one line from my .zshrc I get rid of this hangup. Here it is:
zstyle ':completion:*:approximate:*' max-errors 1 numeric Also, by running zsh under gdb I've found that it hangs in patmatchlen function (Src/pattern.c).
