Package: libarts1c2a Version: 1.5.5-1 Severity: normal
If i try to run (for example) xine, totem or mplayer with arts, these apps quickly crash with : can't create mcop directory I notice with strace that the directories : /tmp/kde-{user} and /tmp/ksocket-{user} aren't created ... If i force another audio device (esd or null) thereis no crash anymore. No problem with real kde apps (k3b for example) even if i choose arts for the audio. NB: i use gdm/gnome Thank you Guy. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-686 Locale: LANG=fr_FR, LC_CTYPE=ISO-8859-1 (charmap=ISO-8859-1) (ignored: LC_ALL set to fr_FR) Versions of packages libarts1c2a depends on: ii libartsc0 1.5.5-1 aRts sound system C support librar ii libasound2 1.0.13-2 ALSA library ii libaudio2 1.8-3 The Network Audio System (NAS).
