Package: postgresql-common
Version: 4
Severity: wishlist
Tags: experimental

Hi Martin,

postgresql-common wraps some of the commands in
/usr/lib/postgresql/8.0/bin/, but this does not include pg_config.
I noticed this when building libpqxx for your experimental packages,
since configure didn't find it.

It's easy enough to set the PATH for configure, but if this not
necessary it would mean libpqxx could build on any packaged
postgresql version, which would be rather more flexible than
hardcoding the path.

If there's a reason why pg_config is excluded, please just close the
bug. It's really just a "this would be nice" request, since it's
easy enough to do without!

Regards,
Roger
