After doubling the ramdisk_size to 32768 and using a serial terminal as console (on ttyS0), the installer worked fine. So:
Package: installation-reports Debian-installer-version: RC3 uname -a: palinux Date: Thu Mar 31 15:08:17 CEST 2005 Method: Booted from CD Machine: Hewlett Packard 9000-712/60 Processor: PA-Risc 1.1d - PA7100 LC (PCX-L) Memory: 64 MB Root Device: SCSI, /dev/sda Root Size/partition table: 625 MB Output of lspci: N/A Base System Installation Checklist: Initial boot worked: [O] after ramdisk_size=32768 and console=ttyS0 Configure network HW: [O] Config network: [O] Detect CD: [O] Load installer modules: [O] Detect hard drives: [O] Partition hard drives: [O] Create file systems: [O] Mount partitions: [O] Install base system: [O] Install boot loader: [O] Reboot: [O] [O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it Comments/Problems: Afterwards I had to modify /etc/inittab and reconfiguring console-data to get my console back on tty0 with the correct keyboard. But that has nothing to do with the installer. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
