Package: kedit Version: 4:3.5.5-3 Severity: normal QClipboard: timed out while sending data
When I try and paste a medium size text file from kedit to Firefox the transfer will timeout. It often occurs on 300K files and occurs all the time in files greater than 500K. When it times out it prints the above error on stdout or stderr (I run kedit from a konsole). My machine is a Pentium-M 1.7GHz, a reasonably fast machine with plenty of RAM (no swapping) so it should not have any problems with such tasks. I believe that kedit or the Qt libraries has a bug that hurts performance in this regard. Please re-assign to libqt3-mt if you believe it's not kedit at fault. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-3-xen-686 Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages kedit depends on: ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-6 core libraries and binaries for al ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.1.1-21 GCC support library ii libstdc++6 4.1.1-21 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 kedit recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
