Here is the information I mistakenly missed due to setting wrong flags
on command line:
About 25% of the time on various of my machines gdm fails to start and
it says something like "starting different greeter".

This has been occurring now for about 2-4 weeks I'd guess.

I have the following in /var/log/:0.log so not really sure if gdm
problem or X problem
