Package: debbugs
http://www.debian.org/Bugs/Developer#closing: Normally, the only people that are allowed to close a bug report are the submitter of the bug and the maintainer(s) of the package against which the bug is filed. There are exceptions to this rule, for example, the bugs filed against unknown packages or certain generic pseudo-packages. When in doubt, don't close bugs, first ask for advice on the debian-devel mailing list. I've been told on d-devel that the BTS doesn't actually care about the maintainer when closing bugs, and it's just considered impolite to go around closing other peoples' bugs without permission. This paragraph should be clarified. -- Andrew Donnellan ajdlinuxATgmailDOTcom (primary) ajdlinuxATexemailDOTcomDOTau (secure) http://andrewdonnellan.com http://ajdlinux.wordpress.com [EMAIL PROTECTED] hkp://subkeys.pgp.net 0x5D4C0C58 http://linux.org.au http://debian.org Get free rewards - http://ezyrewards.com/?id=23484 Spammers only === [EMAIL PROTECTED] === -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
