On a Centrino Duo processor, when resuming after suspend-to-ram, fan is almost(*) always ON. This consumes much battery power. Besides, the GNOME applet CPU frequency scaling monitor says that CPU1 is in a performance state (1.67GHz) while CPU0 is not. However, kpowersave says that both CPUs are in a "powersave" state (1GHz). Let me know how to help you in doing some debugging. Cheers, Alberto (*) it behaves randomly but in the majority of cases is ON -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages acpid depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii lsb-base 3.1-23.1 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip acpid recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
