Thank you for your reply. I now understand how to behave Iceape composer so far, but I am afraid that it will be a problem for many people, after a public release of 4.0 Etch. Because CANON: a major consumer supplier of digital camera equipments adopt *.JPG as its default image format instead of *.jpg.
