Package: linesrv Version: 2.1.15-8 Severity: important Linesrv is run by the init scripts on console 1 (tty1). When you work on this terminal for a while after linesrv has been started the terminal hangs and you cannot move the cursor any more. When you stop linesrv, the terminal becomes available again.
The linesrv daemon does something to the input or output which renders the corresponding console completely unusable. This can be reproduced by starting linesrv and an extensive usage (input and output) of the tty console where the linesrv daemon is running, for example by viewing a few hundred emails with mutt and browsing the mails up and down with the cursor keys until your input/output stops.
