hmmm interesting, there are just 0 bytes in the file, reminds me of
eraserfs^Wreiserfs... so something corrupted the file, either software
like update-alternatives or the filesystem or hardware like the harddisk
or bit error in memory, difficult to say, but I doubt it's reproducible
in any way. So delete that file and try to install mono again, it should
create the file then, do you have pnet installed btw? if so, then during
pnet install was the file created and now during mono install it wanted
to update it and found it's corrupted. Not much I can do here I guess.
