http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jabber "Jabber is an open, XML-based protocol for instant messaging and presence. Jabber-based software is deployed on thousands of servers across the internet and is used by over ten million people worldwide, according to the Jabber Software Foundation: [1]." (first paragraph) At the same page under "Jabber Servers", you see "jabberd" with an URL to its home: http://jabberd.jabberstudio.org/ Also on that page I nowhere see that the daemon of the jabberd project is called "jabber". As a result of this mis-naming in Debia (and FreeBS too :( ) you get people to write emails that are sometimes very difficult to understand: http://www.google.com/search?hl=nl&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=%22jabber+1.4%22+jadmin&btnG=Zoeken&lr= > The description is quite clear and > describes exactly what you will find in the package: The description is idd ok. <snip description> -- Mvg, Sander Devrieze. xmpp:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ( http://jabber.tk/ ) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
