First - I suppose you can make this bug as invalid, because I use
unofficial KDE 3.4 Debian packages. But I think this problem will affect
gwenview after official KDE packages release.
Conditions:
- KDE 3.4 (as I said)
- polish locales (pl_PL) and polish language set in KDE
Reproducible: always
Bug:
- there is no possibility to move image to trash
Steps to reproduce:
- open any image in gwenview
- press delete
{popup with confirmation dialog will appear}
- press Trash (or OK)
{now bug appears. There is pop-up with message "Cannot change name of
'filename'}
Other information:
- it happens for every file
- after unsuccessful operation there is new entry created on desktop.
It's name is '?mietnik', which is one of possible translation of
english word 'Trash' with first letter (polish) changed to question
mark.
- name of my desktop element with trash is 'Kosz'
- suggestion - I've heard of re-designing trash system in KDE 3.4. Maybe
it is one of symptoms?
- suggestion 2 - maybe solution would be sending file to 'trash:/'
instead of any element name on desktop?
