Just to let you know, a new version of xppaut is finally available in Debian unstable which includes fixes for 64bit architectures.
I was able to use this version on amd64 without problems - could you take a look and let me know if I can close this bug (on behalf of the maintainer) please? The new version of xppaut is due to go into Etch soon - it would be nice to close this bug report before that happens, if possible.
