You probably need to load the appropriate module. Please run lsmod and show all relevant modules, like dpt_i2o (which should NOT be loaded, and NEVER HAVE BEEN loaded since the kernel booted) or i2o_block (which should autoload) or i2o_config (which should be loaded manually by inclusion in /etc/modules). Let me know if that doesn't fix the issue. PS I'm downgrading this report to severity: normal. And please, as a favor to the developers, resist the urge to use "severity: important" for reports of this sort. That severity is intended for somewhat more dire circumstances than "I read the documentation but I can't make it work and can't figure out why."
