Hi I have added the line :-
DISABLE_DIRECT=0 in /etc/default/autofs and renamed the sym links in rc to S98autofs Now, sometimes, autofs starts ok at reboot, sometimes it doesn't, but when I restart autofs by hand, it works fine every time. Makes me think that something else is taking a variable amount of time to sort. I have a nis setup, and am quite able to play/test things out, if that helps. Nige
