Package: dovecot Version: 0.99.14-1 Severity: normal I do get quite often broken mailboxes of my users:
hostname pop3(username): Corrupted index file /home/username/Maildir/.INBOX/.imap.index: index.next_uid (85) > uid_rec.uid (80) I can solve the problem by completely deleting .imap.index.* The users can not read their email via IMAP if this error occurs. (no index). This is very annoying. The phenomenon seems to switch between users. I would like to see a feature of Dovecot to repair its own index. Problems with reading arose with Horde2 and Evolution2 in IMAP-mode. thilo -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.29-rc2-1um Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages dovecot depends on: ii dovecot-imapd 0.99.14-1 secure IMAP server that supports m ii dovecot-pop3d 0.99.14-1 secure POP3 server that supports m -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
