You are following up to a completely unrelated bug; the backtraces you
provided look nothing like those in the original bug report.

In fact, the backtraces you provided don't look like a samba bug at all:
if getpwnam() is segfaulting on your system, then you have serious
problems that aren't caused by samba.  If this is an ongoing problem,
you may need to change your /etc/nsswitch.conf configuration, or file
bugs on any strange nss modules you're using.
