Package: sylpheed-claws-gtk2 Version: 2.6.0-1 Severity: important Sylpheed Claws stores its filter settings in a different format than that of (plain) Sylpheed. The Claws 2 source tree contains a 'tools' directory with many useful scripts, two of them can convert the filter settings from the old format (filterrc - filter_conv.pl) and from the new format (filter.xml - filter_conv_new.pl). The Sylpheed version in Sarge already used the new format.xml). The conversion script for the old format can be found in the sylpheed-claws-scripts package, but unfortunately there's no conversion script for the new format in any package in Etch.
That's a problem for users upgrading from Sylpheed in Sarge (like me). (BTW, I think that it would be useful to display some debconf warning page about the filter format incompatibility and the way to convert the filters.) Supposed solution: Creating a sylpheed-claws-gtk2-scripts package, that contains the scripts from the 'tools' directory. If it's too late now, then maybe including these scripts in the sylpheed-claws-gtk2 package.
