Package: perforate Version: 1.2-5 Severity: important One of the usefulness of zum would be to make disk/filesystem images smaller when they contain lots of 0's. The fact is, zum, mmaping 1GB at a time, it is pretty much useless if you don't have a whole bunch of RAM to do what qemu-img convert -f raw $in -O raw $out would do without risking to trigger the OOM killer.
I'd suggest to change the 1<<30 in the source code to something much smaller. Mike -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
