Hi,

This is a very popular bug and there have been a long discussion that
can be read in [0].

In fact it's not a bug from TRAC, but its effect is really grave for
that software. So if you don't have a solution, please consider
warning users about this workaround (maybe in README.Debian):

"This is a limitation of mod_python and its default setup (i.e. usage
of multiple subinterpreteres) in presence of complex extensions. See
this mail [1], which also explains the workaround (force use of the
first interpreter), and MODPYTHON:77 [2]." -- from [0]
