I believe that you have this issue confused with the smbfs fixes from 
earlier in 2004.

CAN-2004-1191 refers to the SUSE fix for an SMP race on PAE >4GB, which
is the following commit
http://linux.bkbits.net:8080/linux-2.6/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Therefore CAN-2004-1191 applies only to 2.6 kernels prior to 2.6.9.
