Hi to all, Wow, long time since this bug as been reported and still no solution ! I'm also having massive data corruption with this error on my KT266a motherboard with VT8233 south bridge/ide controller. I tried to launch hdparm in a "local" initialization script which is launched at the end of boot process. It is a little better, I get only the error 50% of time. My kernel is 2.6.18-3-k7 (stock etch kernel). I can say I had not this problem running sarge with 2.6.18 from backports. Anyone has found a solution ?
