All right, but shouldn't it be at least "normal" (if not "important",
after all, if you build your own kernel, you usually want the newest)?

A "minor" severity level would be a "a problem which doesn't affect the
package's usefulness" and since this affects the packages usefulness it
should be more severe than that.
The current severity level of "wishlist" is IMO a joke.
