The (session saving) problem is still there. I'm using 2.0.0.1+dfsg-2 in a just dist-upgraded Debian unstable system.

This can be closed. The error was likely with some other component of Debian, as an etch update resolved this issue for me.

Great, closing.

Everytime Iceweasel is restarted, it clears its history and the homepage(s) it is set to. I also have preferences set to load up the tabs that were open when Iceweasel was closed; these are NOT reloaded, and instead I am met with
a single empty tab.

Preferences >Privacy > Private Data is NOT set to clear private data when
Iceweasel is closed.
Can you try moving your .mozilla directory out of the way?
