Package: libgtk2.0-doc Version: 2.8.20-5 Severity: minor Installing this package results in two broken symlinks: /usr/share/doc/libgtk2.0-doc/pango -> ../libpango1.0-doc/pango /usr/share/doc/libatk1.0-doc/atk -> ../libatk1.0-doc/atk
The first can be mended just by installing the package libpango1.0-doc, therefore IMHO libgtk2.0-doc should at least Suggest libpango1.0-doc. The same is almost true of the second link and libatk1.0-doc, but in addition the target would be ../libatk1.0-doc/html (not atk). In general, the whole thicket of Gnome and Gtk related documentation is an awful mess. Some packages seem to put the real files under /use/share/gtk-doc/html and make symlinks to there from /usr/share/doc/$package, while others do just the opposite. Surely a minor sub-policy is needed :-) -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-3-k7 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages libgtk2.0-doc depends on: ii iceweasel [www-browser] 2.0.0.1+dfsg-2 lightweight web browser based on M ii w3m [www-browser] 0.5.1-5.1 WWW browsable pager with excellent libgtk2.0-doc recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
