Hi, I've also seen this bug, but it's been happening for a number of weeks (i.e. before the upgrade to 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-6). There doesn't seem to be any pattern to when it happens - I can be logged in for some time and the panel will appear when I put the mouse to the bottom one minute, but it won't appear the next time I try it. Reconfiguring the panel from Kcontrol makes it work again.
