Package: apt Version: 0.6.46.4 Severity: normal Tags: d-i Apt prompts "Install these packages without verification [y/N]?" when it cannot authenticate a package. While it's possible to configure it to always assume 'Y', it's not currently possible to configure it to always assume 'N'. Please make that possible..
While I think such a feature would be generally useful, the specific case it's needed in in d-i, when apt's prompt cannot be answered by the user directly, being hidden by the d-i frontend, but still freezes the install, in a horrible failure mode. If there was a way to make it always assume 'N', then d-i could use that to avoid the freeze. -- see shy jo
