Hello,I tried the latest package and it does not help, unfortunately. The compiler is still executed without the -fPIC option.
What *did* fix it is adding "-fPIC" to the CFLAGS in debian/rules.Thomas, it would be very good to try to get this into Etch, as the library is absolutely 100% useless on AMD64 as-is.
