Package: ia32-libs Severity: important We use libnss-ldap and libpam-ldap (libnss_ldap.so and libpam_ldap.so) to authenticate users against LDAP instead of traditional NIS.
Unfortunately neither of these are contained in ia32-libs meaning e.g. 32-bit java is deeply useless on systems which use LDAP as their password db. Fixing this for etch would be handy but I suspect it's a bit late in the freeze for the release team to let it through.
