I fear you've got some font on your system which FreeType or Fontconfig doesn't like. Fontconfig runs the 'fc-cache' program during the post-install phase, if you can run that manually: # FC_DEBUG=128 fc-cache -f this should point out the font file which is causing trouble. With that information, I should be able to figure out where the bug lies. -keith
